Thermal drying of sewage sludge with a tubular dryer using nozzles and fluidification, with a maximum evaporation from 750 litres/hour. Sludge from centrifuges, with an initial humidity of 75% wb, is pumped into the dryer where some water evaporates until an inerted sludge output with a humidity of 15% wb is obtained.

Thermal drying of sludge uses the cogeneration gases of two biogas and natural gas motors with an associated electric power of 1.050KWe. and 350KWe. respectively. A combustion chamber using natural gas as feedstock to work in support of the cogeneration gas when there is not sufficient thermal power for the dryer.

In order to achieve neutralization of the pollutants entrained by the drying gases, a complementary cooling and chemical absorption system with a first stage (acid) and a second stage (basic-oxidant).
