Last May Innergy made its first appearance in FuturEnergy magazine with an article that dealt with comprehensive technological solutions to industries which Innergy offers to small and medium-sized forestry industries in Chile. Currently we are experiencing a time of transition in the Chilean market; the proof is that by 2035 Chile is expected to have 40% of its power generation from renewable energies, which signals the end of traditional thermal generation plants, which will be eventually replaced by clean technologies.
To achieve those goals this technology must be customized to meet the local biomass and energy needs. Most of the available biomass in Chile is in the forestry industry; therefore, the future growth of this energy source in the energy matrix of the country will continue to be associated with projects of this sector. The CNE has announced that it is working on bidding processes for small and medium-sized customers in the electronics systems industry, thus giving a boost to promote change towards improvement and process optimization.
Innergy is providing as a comprehensive technological solution cogeneration plants based on biomass in response to the energy needs of heat demand needed for wood drying, and for self-supply of its entire electricity demand, by offering from the study of engineering and viability to the full operation and maintenance of the facility.
This is the latest applicable technology-based heat recovery of hot gases from the combustion of biomass. It is the result of evolution and the continuous work Innergy has been doing for decades, with a fully mature, reliable technology, which is therefore also fundable. Currently there are more than 600 facilities of this type operating at full capacity and successfully worldwide.
We can safely say that this trend towards consolidation of an optimized forestry industry more aware of the environment has only just begun.
